3. Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Amiga computers still lack of high resolution graphics, such as SVGA
1024 x 768 modes, unless you buy a third party graphics card. Beside the
fact, that you can't display detailed graphics, you will also miss a large
icon display in workbench
This icons try to compensate this a little. PrefsIcons are very small, but
are still colorful and detailed. They look best in hires interlaced or
productivity modes. This icon set is currently restricted to the Prefs
icons.
You should use it along with the TinyTxt font for your Workbench. TinyTxt
has been released on the aminet.
The placement of the icons is still nice with Helvetica/13 screen font, and
Helvetica/11 Workbench font.
BE SURE TO SET THE RIGHT PALETTE! There is a palette.ilbm in this archive.
Please use it, or you wouldn't get the picture.
5. Information
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There were several 8/16 color icon sets distibuted on fish disks and the
net. None of them satisfied me because of at least one of the following
facts:
- they were too big
- they were not designed for the Amiga
- they looked awful
So I decided to create my own. If I get enough response, I will also draw
icons for the Tools, System or other directories.
Message of the day:
Support screen font! Don't use this f*****g topaz8!
